Landover, MD - August 3, 2001
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has named Pointe Technology Group, Inc. as mentor in the FAA Mentor-Protégé Program.
The three-year Mentor-Protégé program enhances the capabilities of these small businesses to work on high-tech FAA contracts and subcontracts. The program will invite FAA prime contractors (mentor firms) to assist or partner with socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses, historically black colleges and universities, minority institutions and women-owned small businesses (protégé firms).
"We know from experience that these companies and institutions deliver quality goods and services to the FAA on time and on budget," said George Donohue, FAA associate administrator for research and acquisitions. "The Mentor-Protégé effort will tap their entrepreneurial talent and give us new and different ways to serve the aviation community and the traveling public."
