POINTE TECHNOLOGY AWARDED TWO-YEAR OUTSOURCING CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN STANDARD COMPANIES, INC.

Landover, MD, September 20, 1999 – Pointe Technology Group, Inc. (Pointe Technology) today announced it has been awarded a two-year outsourcing contract, with the option for renewal, with American Standard Companies, Inc.
Beginning in September 1999, Pointe Technology will be responsible for American Standard Companies’ entire Network, Operations and SAP support services. Within the scope of the outsourcing contract, Pointe Technology will also manage American Standard Companies’ desktop support and help desk systems.
The outsourcing contract strengthens the strategic alliance and cooperative relationship between Pointe Technology and American Standard Companies, which began in March 1998 when Pointe Technology beat out competitors such as CSC, EDS, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG for a long-term applications development contract.

By outsourcing several areas of operations to Pointe Technology, we are putting key tasks and objectives in the hands of a world-class team who can handle them best,” stated Pete Rogers, information systems leader of Corporate Information Systems (CIS).
