JEFF TOWNSEND NAMED FINALIST FOR ERNST & YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Landover, MD, June 5, 2000 – Jeff Townsend, president of Pointe Technology and NOOGLENET.COM, was recently named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year® award for Maryland.
Mr. Townsend was in the 25% of all nominated who became a finalist this year. Winners will be selected by an elite, blue-ribbon panel of judges composed of community business and civic leaders, academicians, as well as prior year award winners.
Each year the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs strive for this most prestigious honor in this class. Entrepreneur Of The Year winners represent virtually every industry - from the traditional to the cutting edge.
To be eligible to receive the award a nominee must be an owner/manager who is primarily responsible for the recent performance of the company and is an active member of top management. The nominated company must be at least two years old.
Regional winners will be announced at an awards banquet on June 21, 2000. All regional Entrepreneur Of The Year award winners become eligible for the national awards. An independent panel of judges selects winners and finalists in several national categories, as well as one individual who is named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
